2008 Fundraiser Overview
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization,
Partners For Progress relies on fundraising events, grant writing,
community support and the generosity of its program supporters to
raise the funds necessary to continue growth and provide quality
programs.
Partners For Progress (PFP) hosts four major
fundraising events each year; The Dream Big Derby Day Party, Head
for the Hills Ride-A-Thon, Summerfest Celebration and Student Horse
Show, and The Down Home Barn Dance & Pig Roast.

Dream Big Derby Day Party:
May 3, 2008
The Dream Big Derby Day Party is Saturday, May
3 at Tempel Farm in
Wadsworth,
Illinois.
This is PFP’s version of the ultimate Kentucky Derby Party.
The celebration will begin with casino games, delicious food
and PFP’s very own Derby Racing Events!
The day’s festivities will conclude with the Run for the
Roses – The Kentucky Derby.
Winners will have the chance to win great prizes.
PFP’s Head For The Hills Ride-A-Thon
June 1, 2008
The 2008 Ride-A-Thon will take place on Sunday,
June 1.
This event
allows 24 lucky riders to use the skills they have developed and
take their therapy friends out on a trail ride at the beautiful
Chain O’Lakes State Park.
The trail ride is then followed by a Chuck Wagon BBQ lunch.
Each rider must raise a minimum of $500 in sponsors to take
part in this special day.
PFP also welcomes supporters of our program to join us on
this special day.
They
can depart out on the trails at 8:30AM and return back to join us
for a delicious lunch.
Non-program riders must raise a minimum of $50 in sponsors if they
bring their own horse or $100 if they need to use a livery line
horse.
Summerfest Celebration and Student Horse
Show
August 17, 2008
PFP’s Summerfest on Sunday, August 17 is a day
of fun for the whole family.
Come and spend the day at our home, Fields & Fences, enjoying
carnival games, delicious BBQ, decadent sweets, beautiful raffle
baskets and a fabulous Horse Show put on by the riders of PFP.
We even have our very own jail cell, the PFP POKEY.
Nominate someone you love to be arrested by the PFP Sheriff
and Mounted Police.
Set
their bail and have a laugh watching them get locked up to raise
bail for our great program!
Make sure you plan your day to be there at noon for a
fabulous show by Alex Rothacker and friends from TOPS Kennels in
Grayslake,
Illinois.
Down Home Barn Dance & Pig Roast
November 1, 2008
PFP’s Down Home Barn Dance & Pig Roast on
Saturday, November 1 is the best darned Hoe Down this
side of Texas!
The large indoor arena at Fields & Fences is magically
transformed into a sensational Hoe Down.
The evening’s festivities include a Live and Silent Auction,
Raffle Baskets, Fabulous BBQ Dinner and Dancing to a live band and
caller!
Last year, over
400 cowboys and cowgirls attended this event.
Mark your calendar for this one so you don’t miss out on all
of the fun!
Event
tickets are $100 for adults, $50 for children 10 and under.
