2010 Fundraiser Overview
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Partners For Progress relies on fundraising events, grant writing, community support, and the generosity of its program supporters to raise the funds necessary to continue growth and provide quality programs.
Partners For Progress (PFP) hosts three major fundraising events each year; The PFP Dream Big Derby Day Party, Summerfest Celebration and Student Horse Show, and The Hoe Down Barn Dance and Auction.

The PFP Dream Big Derby Day Party: May 1, 2010
The Dream Big Derby Day Party is Saturday, May 1 at Thunder Hawk Golf Course in Beach Park, Illinois. This is PFP’s version of the ultimate Kentucky Derby Party. The celebration will begin with casino games, delicious food, and PFP’s very own Derby Racing Events! The day’s festivities will conclude with the Run for the Roses – The Kentucky Derby. Winners will have the chance to win great prizes.
Summerfest Celebration and Student Horse Show August 29, 2010
PFP’s Summerfest on Sunday, August 29 is a day of fun for the whole family. Come and spend the day at the beautiful new Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake, IL enjoying carnival games, delicious BBQ, decadent sweets, beautiful raffle baskets, and a fabulous Horse Show put on by the riders of PFP. This is a community event and all are welcome!! For some additional fun, bring the kids to climb in and on firetrucks, ambulances, and tractors. There is something for everyone at our Summerfest Celebration.
Hoe Down Barn Dance October 16, 2010
PFP’s Down Home Barn Dance & Pig Roast on Saturday, October 16 is the best darned Hoe Down this side of Texas! The brand new building at the Lake County Fairgrounds will be magically transformed into a sensational Hoe Down. The evening’s festivities include a Live and Silent Auction, Raffle Baskets, Fabulous BBQ Dinner, and Dancing to a live band and caller! Last year, over 450 cowboys and cowgirls attended this event. Mark your calendar for this one so you don’t miss out on all of the fun! Event tickets are $100 for adults, $50 for children 10 and under. Tickets will be on sale August 1st.
