Jamie Herwald
As Equine Manager at Partners for Progress, NFP, Jamie combines her expertise in therapeutic riding with her lifelong passion for helping others through equine-assisted programs. A PATH International Master Level Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, CHA Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, and Certified Equine Coordinator, Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the organization. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside but quickly realized that her true calling lay in working with horses and individuals with disabilities.

Jamie’s journey in therapeutic riding began at just 13 years old when she started as a volunteer, leading horses and assisting as a sidewalker. Her natural leadership skills emerged early, and while still in high school, she took on the role of teaching the classroom portion of group sessions. After college, she followed her passion full-time, joining Partners for Progress as an Instructor, Equine Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator.

Beyond her daily responsibilities, Jamie coaches the Partners for Progress show team, which competes in AQHA and NSBA horse shows. She finds immense joy in witnessing the growth and achievements of both riders and volunteers.

A Quote:
