Mandy Herp
Mandy is a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor at Partners for Progress, having completed her CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) instructor certification in March of 2024. A native Michigander, Mandy grew up on a dairy farm with a horse-loving mother who passed that same love of horses on to her, and she spent much of her youth on horseback. She earned her degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University and went on to build a career in the field, spending the last 20+ years on the Accounting Management team at Camping World's RV Sales & Service division.
Though her career path took her away from horses for a time, that connection never fully faded. In 2019, Mandy found her way to Partners for Progress and began volunteering — a decision that would eventually reshape her path once again.
In 2021, Mandy joined the PFP team as Volunteer Coordinator, taking on new volunteer training and helping manage the volunteer schedule. After being encouraged — more than once — to pursue instructor certification, she ultimately did, becoming a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Mandy finds deep fulfillment in watching the progress clients make, in both big milestones and small everyday wins, and she's especially excited for the growth the program will see with the acquisition of PFP's forever home.
